Gastroesophageal reflux disease
Gastroesophageal reflux disease is digestive disorder that affects
the lower esophageal sphincter, the ring of muscle between the esophagus and
stomach. Many people, including pregnant women, suffer from heartburn or acid
indigestion caused by Gastroesophageal reflux disease. Doctors said that some
people suffer from Gastroesophageal reflux disease due to a situation called
hiatal hernia. In most cases, Gastroesophageal reflux disease can be relieved
through diet and lifestyle changes; however, some people may require medication
or surgery.
