Anti-diarrhoeals
Mechanism:
One of two primary mechanisms predominate. Either, slows GI
motility or two, decreases the fluid content in the stool.
Indications: Diarrhoea
Examples: Loperamide, Octreotide
Side effects: Constipation, Abdominal
pain, Nausea, cramping, dehydration, electrolyte imbalances
